hello, steph here.

As a third culture kid, raised in Taiwan and studying in Seattle, I've always been intrigued by collaborative problem-solving and human communication. Initially, I pursued Communication at UW to understand behaviors and media's societal impact. However, introductory courses made me realize I wanted to extend my impact beyond individuals to society, leading me to discover UX design.

Through immersive HCI courses and a UX Design Certificate, I've learned to craft practical, user-centric solutions with a focus on aesthetics.

Leveraging my multicultural background and determined mindset, I aim to create intuitive experiences that bridge the gap between emerging technology and human behavior, promoting transparency, inclusivity, and accessibility.

Currently seeking full-time UX positions. Let's collaborate if you're dedicated to crafting inclusive, transparent, and accessible designs!

I sketch wireframes and create prototypes, breathing life into ideas with tangible and visually captivating designs. My joy lies in expressing creative ideas through doodling in my notebook. Thriving on tackling diverse challenges within existing products, I aim to elevate interfaces' usability and appeal for all users.

01 Make It

I aim to ensure that everything I design is accessible to all, driven by one fundamental belief - it's simply the right thing to do. Accessible products bring benefits to the many, not just the few.

03 Accessible FTW

I believe that good design thrives in a collaborative environment, not in isolation. It must be facilitated and refined through teamwork. I strive to involve stakeholders in my design process, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that values and encourages feedback.

02 Collaborate

Everything I create is open to change and experimentation. Not every idea will succeed, but it's essential to keep iterating, trying, and learning from what doesn't work.

04 Keep Iterating

In my free time, I’m a…

Foodie

As a foodie, I love exploring Seattle's culinary scene. If you are touring or living in Seattle, I would recommend Looking for Chai for comforting Taiwanese cuisine, Salty's on Alki Beach for the seafood and lake view, and Chengdu Memory for a good value hotpot on a raining day!

I also love hosting potluck dinners with friends, where good food and wine lead to great conversations :)

Hiking Enthusiast

Despite Seattle's rainy weather, I've added hiking to my list of hobbies during the summer. My favorite trails to take my family and friends on are definitely the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail and Snow Lake Trail near Snoqualmie Pass. I'm excited to explore more trails at Banff National Park with my family this summer!

Full time Swiftie

I mean, do I really need to say more? Luckily, I'm among the fortunate 2% who secured tickets to Taylor Swift's upcoming December concert!
